We can only expect to do what we are prepared to do.
Some of the areas covered are strength, speed, muscle tone, flexibility, endurance & ultra-endurance, balance, agility, mobility, longevity, power, coordination and sports psychology. I implement ancient and simple natural training techniques with up-to-date information regarding modern methods. |

One of the benefits for baseball players includes increased control and explosiveness of the hips and core leading to faster direction changes, quicker running and more powerful hitting and throwing. Every exercise learned trains the core.
Another main benefit of Greg’s program is increased gripping ability. This often overlooked aspect of training is extremely important considering the hand’s role in catching, throwing, hitting and shoulder stabilization. There are infinite other benefits that are not to be overlooked, especially when dealing with individual clients and unique needs. However, one major benefit that seems to be praised universally is the overall coordination and body unity developed through Greg’s training.
Most clients across the board, in the United States particularly, seem to be creating amateur programs based on body building theory. Although there is nothing wrong with body building, most baseball players should not be training like body builders. This isolation training leads to muscle imbalances and tightness leading to injuries and encouraging athletes to “fight themselves” as they attempt to improve their sport specific skills. Learning to use the entire body properly for every action will bring simultaneous safety and power to the client.
Kettlebells are a tremendously efficient tool to aide in the development of functional, flexible, coordinated physical development.
First found in the Russian dictionary in the 1700's there are examples of kettlebell principles being applied throughout history. Often described for the imagination as a cannonball with a suitcase handle attached, a kettlebell is basically just a weight with an off centered handle.
You will never find a weight as symmetrical as a dumbbell or machine in real life but the asymmetry of a kettlebell translates into a much more functional type of strength. With a dumbbell no matter what the weight is you're always working in the same groove leading to stiffness and injury. Kettlebells incorporate all of your stabilizer muscles as your body is forced to balance while developing flexible strength.
Another great advantage is that the kettlebell design enables you to practice swinging the weight. This teaches you how to handle a weight with momentum. In football for example you may be able to bench press 300lbs but you have to be able to handle that weight rushing at you.
Perhaps most importantly kettlebell training teaches focus and coordination allowing you to progress in training while developing a more complete power with no weak links. It's impossible to not enjoy the tremendous benefits kettlebell training provides.

Strength –
Strength is a skill to be learned and developed. It is possible for most trainees to get dramatically stronger with the bodies they have. For the most part every able bodied person has the muscle potential to lift a car. One reason we don't commonly observe such potential is because our bodies naturally follow the path of least resistance in search of efficient homeostasis. When you step on the gas it is in our genetics to put brakes on to not allow such max efforts as our bodies conserve energy for the future. But it is possible to safely take these brakes off and tap into your full strength.
